Sox fans gather this weekend in downtown Chicago for the annual Soxfest. Soxfest is a promotional gathering of hundreds of fans and players occurring at the Palmer House Hilton. Soxfest started Friday and will end Sunday night. It offers many different activities including the opportunity to interview players and get autographs. Soxfest is catered for all fans young and old. For more information on Soxfest you can visit here.
I have been to one of these for the Chicago Bears and they're very fun for sports fans. It is very cool to meet some of your favorite players and be surrounded by other fans. I would recommend going to one of these for your favorite team sometime.
I wandered into the Cubs convention one year during college. I'd been out at some street festival and we somehow snuck in. Then I embarrassed myself in front of Tommy LaSorda and we had to leave. Quickly.
